and what it's for.
Plain answers to the questions a security review asks, and the line we draw on use.
Isolation
Every Linux session is a fresh sandboxed pod, torn down at the end, with network egress locked to what the session is allowed to reach. Every macOS session is a separate Chrome process under an unprivileged user with its own profile directory, removed at the end.
Browser hardening
A managed enterprise policy on every browser blocks local file access, downloads, the File System API, sign-in and sync, the password manager and extension installs. DevTools stays available because that's how you drive it.
Connection authority
Every CDP, VNC or control connection carries a short-lived token signed by the control plane. The machine you connect to can verify it but cannot mint one, so a compromised cell can't grant access to anything.
Your profile data
Profiles live in our encrypted object store, keyed to your organisation. Export a signed download of any profile at any time; delete it and it's gone. We don't read them.
Money
Prepaid balance with an append-only ledger; every credit and debit is a row you can see. Cards are handled by Stripe — we never see the number.
What we don't have yet
A SOC 2 report, a status page, and regions outside the EU. We say so here rather than in a sales call. Ask us what you need and we'll tell you the date or that we can't.
Responsible use
The line.
BrowserFleet is for collecting publicly available data and automating things you're entitled to automate: price and market monitoring, SEO and search data, research, testing your own properties, and agents acting on behalf of a person who has authorised them.
It is not for credential stuffing, account takeover, fraud, harassment, bypassing paywalls, evading a site's stated terms, or creating accounts at scale to deceive a platform. We investigate reports, and accounts doing these things lose access without refund. Report abuse to hello@browserfleet.io.
